Abstract:

Clinical Leadership (CL) is essential to the professional practice of nurses to ensure that care is safe, high-quality, and delivered efficiently within the current complex healthcare system with increasingly limited resources. However, CL is neither well-defined nor fully integrated into nursing education curricula across Europe. This project therefore aims to develop a conceptual framework for CL, from which nursing education curricula will be reviewed and revised to provide a more systematic and effective approach to CL in the foundational training of students. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the nursing profession and improve the provision of safe and efficient care, with the dissemination of the project results on a large scale so that they can contribute to other EU countries.
