Well-Being and Mental Health

The Well-Being and Mental Health research group is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in the domains of psychological well-being, happiness, and mental health across the human life course. Its projects aim to deepen the understanding of the predictors and determinants of well-being and mental health, and to examine their impact on individuals, communities, and organizations.

This group of research promotes multidisciplinary and evidence-based approaches, integrating perspectives from psychology, physiology, nutrition, health sciences, education, and social sciences. Through both research and intervention, it seeks to identify the factors that foster mental health promotion, emotional balance, and quality of life, as well as those that contribute to increased vulnerability to mental health challenges.

In addition to investigating the determinants of well-being and mental health, this research group develops projects focusing on mental illness across the lifespan and within specific populations, addressing critical issues related to prevention, early intervention, treatment, and social inclusion.

By combining scientific rigor with an integrative perspective, the Well-Being and Mental Health research group contributes to the development of innovative, sustainable, and person-centered strategies that promote mental health and enhance well-being throughout life.
