Sara Lima holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho, Portugal, a Master's in Psychology and Health from the University of Porto, and a degree in Clinical Psychology from CESPU – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário. She is a lecturer at CESPU – Cooperative for Higher Education, Polytechnic, and University, where she teaches in the fields of health psychology, mental health, and applied psychology. Since 2023, she is the Director of the Innovation for Health and Well-being Research Unit at CESPU. She participated in research projects in health psychology, elderly people, dementia, spirituality, quality of life, well-being, mindfulness, and mental health, contributing to various national and international projects. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, in those fields. She also was external auditor in projects in aging and informal caregivers. She has been practicing clinical and health psychology for 30 years, having been a clinical health psychologist in a hospital setting over 24 years.
